Meet Prof. Dr. Rishad Ahmed
Prof. Dr. Rishad Ahmed is a distinguished Consultant in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolic Medicine, with over 21 years of overall clinical experience, including 16+ years of specialised expertise in Internal Medicine. He is currently associated with Fortis Hospital & Kidney Institute, Rash Behari Avenue, Kolkata, and is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care for a wide spectrum of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
He completed his MBBS and MD (Internal Medicine) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and further advanced his expertise with a Diploma in Diabetes from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Fellowship in Diabetes (F.Diab) with Distinction from the Royal Liverpool Academy, Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Endocrinology, Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE), and Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE).
Dr. Ahmed has a special interest in Diabetes, Obesity Medicine, Thyroid Disorders, Metabolic Syndrome, Insulin Resistance, Fatty Liver Disease, Dyslipidaemia, Hypertension, Cardiometabolic Health, and Preventive Medicine.
